  • Henry Baldwin Award

    The Henry Baldwin Award is given to an individual or organization for outstanding service to the community.  Named after the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce's first Chairman, Mr. Baldwin was a builder, developer and businessman who made a significant impact on Corpus Christi through his service to our city.

    Past Award Recipients: Robert Adler (2018); Nueces County Judge Loyd Neal (2017); Charles W. Zahn Jr. (2016)

    Henry Baldwin Award Criteria:

    • Exemplifies the qualities of Henry Baldwin and strives to make a positive impact on Corpus Christi through dedicated service to our community

    Dora Cervera Mirabal Women's Leadership Award

    The Dora Cervera Mirabal Women's Leadership Award is given to an individual who emulates Dora Cervera Mirabal, a local businesswoman, author, poet, newspaperwoman and civic leader.  Mrs. Mirabal was a trailblazer who went above and beyond to move her community ahead, promote entrepreneurship, small, minority and women-owned businesses.

    Past Award Recipients: Paulette Guajardo (2018); Dr. Kelly Quintanilla (2017); Linda Benavides (2016)

    Dora Cervera Mirabal Women's Leadership Award Criteria:

    • Exemplifies the leadership qualities of Dora Cervera Mirabal in being an advocate for minority and women-owned small businesses

    Big Business of the Year

    The Big Business of the Year Award is given to a large business that is a significant corporate citizen, a friend of the chamber and a partner to many organizations within the community.

    Past Award Recipients: IBC Bank (2018); AEP Texas (2017); H-E-B (2017); Radiology Associates (2016)

    Big Business of the Year Criteria:

    • Must be a current United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce member for a minimum of one year
    • Business in operation for a minimum of three years
    • Must be a for-profit business
    • 50+ employees

    Small Business of the Year

    The Small Business of the Year Award is given to a small business that is a significant corporate citizen, a friend of the chamber and a partner to many organizations within the community.

    Past Award Recipients: Braselton Homes (2018); ICA Radio (2017); Hurricane Alley Waterpark (2016)

    Small Business of the Year Criteria:

    • Must be a current United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce member for a minimum of one year
    • Business in operation for a minimum of three years
    • Must be a for-profit business
    • 1-50 employees

    New Business of the Year

    The New Business of the Year Award is given to a new business that has shown promise to be a significant corporate citizen, a friend of the chamber and a partner to many organizations within the community.

    Past Award Recipients: Oh My Goodness Boutique LLC (2018); Reliant Emergency Room (2017); C.C. Staples Management (2016)

    New Business of the Year Criteria:

    • Must be a current United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce member 
    • Business in operation for less than three years
    • Must be a for-profit business

    Non-Profit Business of the Year

    The Non-Profit Business of the Year Award is given to a not-for-profit business or organization that is a significant corporate citizen, a friend of the chamber and a partner to many organizations within the community.

    Past Award Recipients: Driscoll Children's Hospital (2018); United Way of the Coastal Bend (2017); Texas State Aquarium (2016)

    Non-Profit Business of the Year Criteria:

    • Must be a current United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce member for a minimum of one year
    • Business in operation for a minimum of three years
    • Must be a not-for-profit business

    Military Veteran Entrepreneurship Award

    The Military Veteran Entrepreneurship Award is given to a former military personnel member who has made the transition from the military to the business world through an entrepreneurial endeavor.

    Past Award Recipients: Le Roy Torres, Burn Pits 360 Veterans Organization (2018); Garry Bradford, Unique Employment Services (2017); Rita's Ice Custard (2016)

    Military Veteran Entrepreneurship Award Criteria:

    • Must be a current United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce member 
    • Business in operation for a minimum of one year
    • Must be a for-profit business

    Spirit of the Chamber Foundation

    The mission of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation is to develop and empower leaders and entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in Corpus Christi.  The Spirit of the Chamber Foundation Award will be given to an individual or organization for outstanding support of the Chamber Foundation's programs and initiatives; programs include Leadership Corpus Christi, Conquer the Coast, Mi Casa Es Su Casa, Lemonade Day Coastal Bend, and the Mano a Mano Scholarship Program. 

    Past Award Recipient: Bay Area Title Services, a proud member of the Stewart Title family (2018)

    Spirit of the Chamber Foundation Award Criteria:

    • Individual or organization demonstrates a commitment to supporting the programs and initiatives of the Chamber Foundation

    Leadership Corpus Christi Servant Leader Award

    The Leadership Corpus Christi Servant Leader Award is given to a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi who embodies what it means to be a servant leader; demonstrating the characteristics of empathy, listening, stewardship and commitment to personal growth towards others.

    Past Award Recipients: Ben Molina (2018); Adam D. Farrell (2017); Mary Z. Afuso (2016)

    Leadership Corpus Christi Servant Leader Award Criteria:

    • Must be a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi
    • Must exemplify principles of servant leadership in profession and community

    Mano a Mano Legacy Award

    The Mano a Mano Scholarship is an educational endowment program designed to promote the growth of our local workforce and aide Coastal Bend students in obtaining their college degree.  The Mano a Mano Legacy Award (previously known as the Spirit of Mano a Mano Award) is given to a recipient of the Mano a Mano Scholarship who has demonstrated their commitment to the Coastal Bend workforce and community.

    Past Award Recipients: Larry Medrano (2018); Brent Wooten (2017); Lauren Martinez (2016)   

    Mano a Mano Legacy Award Criteria:

    • Nominee must be a recipient of the Mano a Mano Scholarship Award
    • Must be currently employed or attending school in the Coastal Bend
