    Position & Salary:

    Full-time salaried exempt position.

    $50,000-$55,000/annually, commensurate with experience.

    Purpose/Function of Position:

    To lead the development and implementation of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce’s (UCCCC) strategic communications and marketing efforts. Responsible for all activities in support of organizational initiatives, programs, campaigns and events.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Communications and Marketing Leadership
    • Under the leadership of the CEO, provide guidance, planning and implementation for UCCCC in regard to communication, marketing and organizational branding.
    • Develop communication and marketing plans and responsible for strategic implementation.
    • Conduct research and analysis to ensure that communications efforts meet organizational objectives.
    • Ensure coordination of all communications strategies within the organization including fundraising events, sponsorship opportunities and membership activities.
    • Provide communications direction and guidance for staff.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with the business community and chamber members.


         Communications and Marketing Products

    • Creation and production of all collateral materials (print, audiovisual, etc.) for year-round communications of UCCCC events, activities and monthly publications.
    • Ensure consistent branding and strategic key messaging in all collateral materials and digital communications.
    • Develop and/or maintain digital communications including website, e-blast newsletter and social media platforms.
    • Develop and distribute media materials to promote UCCCC events and activities.
    • Develop, coordinate and represent UCCCC speaking opportunities for community organizations and present, as needed.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
    • Three to five (3-5) years of public relations, strategic communications and/or integrated MarComm experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Adobe Suite and Wordpress or other website maintenance software.
    • Proficient in digital and social media platforms (Facebook, MailChimp, Hootsuite, etc.)
    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
    • Ability to critically think, problem solve, and take the initiative
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in public relations or communications, or related field
    • More than six (6+) years of public relations, strategic communications and/or integrated MarComm experience
    • Spanish language communication skills
