“Nona, who's real name is Erica Franco, emigrated from Victoria, Mexico only five years ago in 2014. With her she brought her family’s traditional recipes, the magic behind Nona’s Cocina. At first, the differences in language and culture were not easy for Nona to accept. But after opening Nona’s and helping feed this community, she now realizes that the language of food transcends any border.
