CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Coastal Bend Day at the Capitol in Austin on February 22, 2023.
Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo, Port of Corpus Christi Chairman Charles W. Zahn, United Corpus Christi Chamber Board Chair May Mendoza, and other leaders from the region will travel to Austin to meet with lawmakers and discuss key issues facing the coastal bend and the state of Texas. On the agenda are items pertaining to economic development, water resources, protecting our military bases, and windstorm insurance reform among many others.
“Coastal Bend Day is our opportunity to tell our story to the State Legislature,” said Chamber President & CEO Al Arreola, Jr. “economic development, workforce development and quality education are issues that affect the business community and the quality of life in the Coastal Bend region.”
